Vesuvian Media Group, a Los Angeles–based books-to-film multimedia company, has acquired Black Spot Books. Located in Anchorage, Alaska, Black Spot Books has released about 12 titles of speculative fiction with another dozen in the publishing pipeline. Lindy Ryan, founder of Black Spot, will continue to lead the imprint as part of Vesuvian.
